Parent-only coaching
Sessions with you, without your child on screen, to plan routines, review what happened and rehearse what to say and do.

Legacy Behavioral Collective offers telehealth consulting in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) for parents and caregivers of children and teens with autism and other developmental differences. Sessions are delivered remotely by founder Juanita Traver Stine, a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) with 30 years of experience, and include parent-only coaching, parent-led ABA, check-ins and troubleshooting for families on the Peninsula and Coastside.
Telehealth works well when a parent or caregiver will carry out the plan day to day, and when flexibility matters.
Sessions with you, without your child on screen, to plan routines, review what happened and rehearse what to say and do.
You carry out the strategies with your child, while Juanita coaches you and adjusts the plan as you go.
Touchpoints to review progress, answer questions and keep goals moving between in-person sessions.
Focused help when a routine, transition or behavior gets stuck, before it becomes a pattern.
Each telehealth session is planned around a specific goal. Juanita reviews what has happened since your last session, explains the next strategy and helps you rehearse it, then you try it at home. Enrolled families book telehealth sessions from their family dashboard, and the free consultation itself happens by phone or Google Meet.
Telehealth is strongest for coaching, planning and troubleshooting. Skills tied to a specific place, like a haircut, a dental visit or a classroom routine, usually also need in-person practice. Telehealth can be combined with in-person sessions: in person to start, telehealth check-ins to keep things moving.
For in-person practice in real places, see community-based ABA.
Goals and progress are shared in the secure family portal, along with session summaries, simple next steps to try at home, and downloadable visuals, scripts and handouts. Because you carry out the plan, Juanita reviews what you observed at home at each check-in and adjusts the next steps.

Telehealth consulting is offered to families in our Peninsula and Coastside service area, where it pairs well with in-person sessions.
Telehealth sessions can also be part of parent coaching and family training.
Telehealth consulting is private pay and is listed on our programs page as the Telehealth ABA Consultation option. Whether a superbill can be issued depends on the service: general parent coaching or education is not HSA/FSA eligible and has no CPT code, while clinical ABA services tied to a treatment plan may qualify. Reimbursement is never guaranteed.
See what each option includes on our ABA programs page.
HSA/FSA rules are explained in our billing and insurance FAQ.
Not always. Parent-only coaching happens without your child on screen, and parent-led ABA focuses on you carrying out strategies with your child at home. Whether your child joins a session depends on the goal and on what feels manageable for your family that day.
Yes. Telehealth check-ins and troubleshooting can support in-home and community-based work between visits. For skills tied to a specific place, such as a haircut or a classroom routine, in-person practice is usually part of the plan as well.
Yes. The free 30-minute consultation happens by phone or Google Meet and is booked through Google Calendar on our contact page. It is a conversation about your child's needs, your goals and possible next steps, not an assessment or a treatment planning session.
Telehealth works well for planning routines and transitions, supporting communication during daily activities, answering sibling and caregiver questions, and preparing for upcoming events like appointments or trips. Juanita helps you plan the steps, rehearse them and review what happened afterward.
In some cases. HSA/FSA funds may be used when services are part of a medically necessary ABA treatment plan and meet your plan's criteria. General parent coaching or education is not eligible. We cannot guarantee reimbursement, so confirm eligibility with your HSA/FSA provider.
Book a free 30-minute consultation through Google Calendar on our contact page. We will talk about your goals and whether telehealth, in-person sessions or a mix makes the most sense.
